So, of course I use the partition. I don't think you could go wrong with either. One side comment - if you are at a questionable range for expansion w all copper bullet - take the shoulder.

Nov 06, 2006 · The .243 has pretty high velocity, though, so if you are shooting at a deer at 30 yards down in the swamp it might not be the best choice as they can fragment at high velocity (close range) if you hit a large bone. If you are stuck on uisng Federal I'd go with the 100 Gr. Nosler Partition or the 100 Gr. Sierra Gameking BTSP.

Apr 28, 2014 · Mate I think the 9.3 is a bit over gunned for Deer, even Sambah. A 308 with 168gn Sierra Game Kings or Nosler Partition bullets would do the job. You could go up to a 30-06 if you want just a little more knock down power. I've been investigating the idea of the 9.3 but I was going to use it on Buffalo. The recoil is in the order of 36.5ft/lb.
